Winter Meditation
Today, we bring you our Winter Meditation of finding peace in storms. Winter is just a beautiful time of togetherness and tradition for many of us. But for others, it can also be a time of difficulty and deep loneliness.
And of course, the days are shorter, the weather is moody, and things are less bright, kind of drab during the winter months. Now this meditation today is about finding peace, and difficult or even trying times. The reality is that it is not just winter that brings difficulty or challenges into our lives. We all know trouble comes any season, anytime, anyplace.
So you can remember in the future that this meditation is good for any time of year for any moment of struggle in life. Life has storms and lots of sometimes, we emerge grateful for the lessons we have learned. And sometimes we emerge more guarded than we were before, sometimes a little of both.
This winter meditation is meant to help us while we're in the midst of our storms, to recognize alongside the bad, the good to find your inner resilience. We cannot change the fact that life has so many heartbreaking challenges. Any more than we can change that winter has storms. All but we can find peace in difficult times. And that's what this meditation today is all about.
Just a quick note, for those of you who are new to meditations, you're going to find your mind wanders the mind the brain is created to think so the mind will wander. Just realize when your mind is wandering to places that have nothing to do with what you're doing in this moment, remember to bring your mind back to my voice. Don't get frustrated. It's takes time many people practice this great art of meditation for many, many years and still find that their minds wander. I want you to keep in mind, it's time to enter stillness. And that you can use this again anytime you choose as we move forward. When you listen to it several times, you'll be able to make it your own. You'll be able to use this in your way anytime you need.
